Sunday 13th August 2023
Today was the annual Boston Classic Car Club show. I reckon that there were about 500 vehicles there on show to the public. A sample of some of the vehicles on show are in the gallery below.

Thursday 10th August
This afternoon I gave the Midas as wash and a polish. I had a good hunt around inside and found the missing switch cap from yesterday and refitted it.
I then went to a local cafe to a Classic and Custom Car meeting that is held once a month in the summer and these are some photos of the cars there. There was a fabulous Jaguar C type replica built on an XK120 donor with a custom chassis. It was a beautiful £200k+ car.

Sunday 23rd July
As it was dry this morning, not as per the forecast, I took the Midas to the Newark Kit Car Show in Newark. I had a nice steady run there along the A17 at a steady 50-55mph. The brakes were fine with no problems at all but the car does run a bit hot at a steady 100 degrees which is a bit hotter than I would like and the heater was on all the time. So over the winter when I have the dashboard out and I will take a look at the new heater that has been fitted to see whether the flow can be adjusted to the heater.
It was good to meet up with 5 other Midas cars at the show along with two owners who were there without their cars. It gave me chance to look at another convertible and the rear half tonneau cover was something that I intend to copy for when the roof is off.
